NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Juliana Tapper

I am a former high school math support and Algebra 1 teacher and co-teacher having taught and led departments at high schools in South Central Los Angeles, East San Jose, and Denver. I also served as a district math coach and TOSA where I led professional development for math and special education teachers across thirteen urban high schools before starting my own company, CollaboratEd, to provide secondary math teachers with incredible PD across the US.

My mission is to be a gatebreaker.

Failing mathematics is associated with increased drop out rates and lower graduation rates - therefore coined a "gatekeeper" subject. I'm committed to breaking barriers through inclusive math strategies, ensuring a pathway to student success regardless of student's math pasts. Learn more about how to help your math teachers become gatebreakers in this on demand conference session.
