The strategies and activities you’ll find inside the Math Engagement Academy are what I’ve been using in my own classrooms (and those around the USA) for the last 12 years. These strategies have worked for me in my classrooms in South Central LA, East San Jose, and Denver. They’ve worked for my rural clients in New Mexico and urban clients in California. They’ve worked for my SPED teachers and my ELL teachers. They've worked for teachers in juvenile detention centers and alternative education classrooms. Consistently.

But, I do understand that children learn in many different ways. 

You can adapt any of these activities and strategies to better suit your teaching style and the learning needs of your students. 

Like with anything else, you will have to implement the strategies into your daily lesson plans and give your students time to adjust. I know with other forms of professional development, you’re left on your own to figure that part out. Not with MEA...you’ll also get access to pre-recorded workshops that show you how to implement every activity in your classroom.

The most common piece of feedback I receive about my PD for my clients is how IMMEDIATELY APPLICABLE it is. Teachers consistently tell me they feel they can use these strategies tomorrow in their classroom. 

In my experience, most PD is not like that. It’s usually too theory based without enough practical tips. Or it’s elementary focused and not applicable to my secondary classroom. Or there is not enough time to digest the PD and make a plan for my own classroom. 

That’s what sets me apart from other courses or PD providers. I get it and I make sure my PD and course is easy to implement, made for secondary teachers, and provides unlimited support for you as you change your classroom practice.

2. Juliana will finalize details with admin and send a W9
3. Once Juliana receives the PO# the teacher will get enrolled and have immediate access to everything within MEA!
4. If you select a package option, Juliana will work with you to plan a time for the additional workshops and coaching ASAP at a time that works best for YOUR staff.

Yes! I charge $300 for each 45 minute coaching session with teachers and my virtual workshops start at $1,500 for 60 or 90 minutes.

No. MEA is about the pedagogy behind teaching math to students who struggle and equipping you with ready to use strategies to increase engagement.

You can use these strategies with ANY curriculum or online program.

The Math Resource Library does have many ready to use resources for your classroom, however it is NOT a full curriculum!

Here’s how it works

1. Register your teacher(s) for MEA
2. Once payment is received (single teacher license) or PO# is issued, teachers will receive an email with a link to log into our course portal. 
3. Set up your username and password
4. Log in and get full access to MEA!
5. Bookmark the log in page and return to it as many times as you’d like within your 365 day registration period!

Teachers have access to the course and private Facebook community for 365 days, which means they can go through the content at their own pace.

If you’re someone who likes to binge course content, you can expect to spend about a day watching the videos, printing out the activities, and creating your plans based on what you’ve learned.

Coaching calls are scheduld 3 months at time and dates and zoom links are located within the course portal. Calls are also recorded and posted to our course portal for teachers to watch anytime in case they can’t make it live. Teachers can also ask questions ahead of time and I’ll answer them live on the call even if they can’t attend!

CollaboratEd (and myself) cannot guarantee each state will accept this certificate. To ensure acceptance, please bring the certificate to your administrator and have it reprinted with their letterhead.

If your state accepts, this course will count as 6 hours of PD.
